Our goal and mission is to help others realize the ability to grow their own food.  My Yard Farm is a partnership of two local Orlando families who desire to further the concept of Urban Farming. The shop is a cool little hang out..and that's definately not because the A/C is kickin'. It's because the great friends I have who have made it a special place to come and hang for a "sample"glass of wine or beer. Long story on the "sample" part. There are groovy new and old fun things to look at and purchase. No I am not one of the old groovy things to look at but I usually am here for a good laugh or some cheap drunken advice. Friday nights have been picking up a good group of guys come a share their "war stories" and smoke cigars into the early evening hours.

From the beginning, Olde Hearth’s goal has been to offer gourmet bread & pastry, made by hand, without preservatives, added fat, dairy, or sugar. These products are healthy, they look great and taste even better! The Olde Hearth Bread Story began in 1998 when Shannon and his father, David, started the bakery. One of the first people they hired was Janice Brahm, and together the three of them set off on a journey to bring high quality bread to Central Florida.

We are a restaurant whose food and drink menu is driven by the season, and our menu will change very frequently, sometimes daily, depending on product availability and chef inspiration. You might not always be able to order that great appetizer you had a couple of weeks ago, but please rest assured that what's on the menu on any given day is made using the freshest and highest quality seasonal ingredients.  Once we phase out (86, in restaurant speak) a menu item, it doesn't mean it is gone for good, so be patient, and sooner or later your old favorite will be waiting for you when you come in.

Simple Living Institute, Inc. was started in 2002 by a group of Central Floridians wanted to create a stronger community that valued the environment, personal health, and had a vision for a more self-sufficient lifestyle. Our first brainstorming session was held on a blanket at Langford Park in downtown Orlando. Shortly after bringing our ideas together, we incorporated the Simple Living Institute, Inc. as a nonprofit organization and applied for 501c3 exempt status from the IRS.

I like good coffee (Dancing Goats), I like good movies, I like imported beer (especially St. Bernardus), I like warm meals made with love and pesto, I like wine, and music.

Hydroponic gardening finds its home here, at Urban Sunshine. We have all the hydroponic systems, hydroponic supplies and advice you need to grow bigger and better indoors.
